You: You’re all about creating experiences that hit the right notes, both for fans and the team. You bring ideas to life with code, always eager to experiment, iterate, and level up. You’re proactive, thrive on solving complex challenges, and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment where you can have a real impact.
Us: A rapidly growing ticket marketplace that is making waves, a huge amount of positive impact and changing the game in the live entertainment space. We’re on a mission to become the world’s most trusted live event marketplace. Our tech connects fans with their favourite events and creators, and our reach includes some of the most exciting festivals, promoters, and venues around the world. At Tixel, you’ll be part of a team that’s not just about the business—it’s about the culture, the impact, and the wins we achieve together.
The Gig:
We’re on the hunt for a Senior Full-Stack Engineer who can help us build the future of live events. You’ll be working closely with our product teams, turning vision into reality. Your work will directly shape the Tixel experience, giving you the opportunity to make waves and set new standards in the industry.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Engineering scalable solutions across our modern tech stack:
Backend – PHP (Laravel), JavaScript (Node.js) and TypeScript (Nuxt.js)
Frontend – JavaScript (Vue.js 3) and Tailwind CSS
Storage – SQL (AWS RDS), DynamoDB
Serverless functions – AWS Lambda (Node.js) and Cloudflare Worker (Node.js)
- Building and refining services within our decoupled infrastructure, pushing the boundaries of what’s possible.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams—product managers, designers, and stakeholders—to bring ideas from concept to production.
- Engaging in design decisions, code reviews, and advocating for best practices, including automated testing and documentation.
What You’ll Need:
- Solid experience in full-stack software development, ideally with exposure to early-stage startups.
- Proven skills in OOP PHP (using frameworks like Laravel, Symfony, etc.) and modern JavaScript frameworks.
- You’ve got fullstack experience and are capable of working on the frontend (there’s a spectrum to fullstack and you might lean towards the front or back, we don’t mind where you sit as long as you’re somewhat capable of frontend tasks)
- Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, serverless functions, and automated testing (TDD or similar approaches).
- A hands-on, problem-solving mindset, with the ability to lead projects and contribute directly.
- Clear, confident communication skills that can bridge technical and non-technical teams.
